In recent years, Band Together Foundation has forged international partnerships aimed at promoting music education and fostering cultural exchange. One of our key collaborators has been the Italian National Band Association (INBA), with whom we've worked closely to support young musicians in Italy.

During our collaborations, we've had the opportunity to witness the outstanding performances of Italian musicians and experience first hand the rich musical heritage of the country.

One remarkable partnership involved a joint initiative with Patrician Brothers College Fairfield, a school of School Bands Australia, and the Commune di Albizzate in Italy.Through this collaboration, we facilitated a unique cultural exchange program that brought together students from different countries to share their passion for music, all while navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic.

Laura Demicheli, Executive Director of School Bands Australia and former resident of Albizzate, was moved by the opportunity to help with a projectt hat brings people together during a frightening time.

Laura decided to participate in the program. She volunteered to assist the school children in Albizzate with their musical endeavors, believing that "music is more contagious than the virus" and that "together(even if far away) we will make it."

Under the guidance of their music teacher, SBA’s students enthusiastically joined the "Gente di Albizzate" competition, showcasing their talent and dedication through a heartfelt rendition of the village song. The video recording of their performance serves not only as a symbol of solidarity but also as a testament to the resilience and strength of communities coming together in times of adversity.

This heartwarming initiative demonstrates how music transcends borders and brings people together, fostering connections and spreading joy across continents even during the most challenging of circumstances.Band Together Foundation is proud to be part of such inspiring collaborations that celebrate the universal language of music and its ability to unite the world, even in the face of a global pandemic.
